Thomas Pris

ALTAMONT — Thomas Pris, son of Suzanne and Andrew Pris of Altamont, has earned his Eagle rank as a member of Boy Scout Troop 1264.

Pris, who has just completed his freshman year at Guilderland High School, began his scouting career in 2011 with Cub Scout Pack 43 in Clifton Park. Pris earned 33 merit badges on his way to Eagle rank.

For his Eagle project, he blazed a trail to make an out-and-back trail a loop for Lynnwood Reformed Church in Guilderland.

Pris has served his troop in leadership roles, including as patrol leader, quartermaster, and troop guide.  His scouting adventures included cub scout camp at Camp Boyhaven, weeklong camp at Rotary Scout Reservation, and many weekend camping trips with his troop.

He will be attending World Scout Jamboree with Scouts from around the world this summer. Pris is also a member of the Order of the Arrow as an Ordeal Candidate.
