VOORHEESVILLE — Glenn Durban died at his home in Voorheesville on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. He was 101.

“As a grateful immigrant to the United States, Glenn celebrated this country’s values and the many good things it gave him, including the excellent education his children received at Voorheesville’s public schools and the exemplary care he himself received from Veterans Affairs,” his family wrote in a tribute.

He is survived by his five children: Lance Durban and wife, Nadia, of Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Roger Durban of Washington, D.C.; Chris Durban of Paris, France; Eric Durban and wife, Annalee Rothenberg, of Maple Valley, Washington; and Lars Durban and wife, Marlene Roth, of Snohomish, Washington.

He is also survived by five grandchildren: Deanna Durban, Laila Durban, Juliet Rothenberg, and Anna Gambini and Riley Roth, as well as three great-grandchildren: Phoenix, Hunter, and Skye Durban Handal.

His first wife, Sylvia Gundersen, died before him, as did his second wife, Emily Rothrock.

A family memorial service will be held in 2020.
