EAST BERNE — Dorothy L. Dibble, the mother of three sons, died on Friday, May 24, 2019. She was 80.

She was born in Albany on June 5, 1938 to the late Frank and Ella (née Warner) Tallman.

She was a member of the Helderberg Lutheran Church in Berne, and the Hilltown Seniors. “Dot was a volunteer at the Helderberg  Lutheran Church thrift store,” her family wrote in a tribute. “She also volunteered for various other causes.”

She is survived by her three sons, Willard Dibble Jr. and his wife, Marie, Richard Dibble and his wife, Donna, and Edward Dibble; by her grandchildren, Jennifer, Dan, Charley, Katie, and Amber; by her four great-grandchildren; by her siblings, Erma Bouton, Marty Noack, Mary White, and Cindy Conway; and by many nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Willard Dibble, died on March 23, 2014. Her sister, Hazel Cole, also died before her, as did her great-grandson Frederick Sulky.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home at 199 Main St. in Altamont. A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Wendy Cook officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
