Guardsmen re-enlist

These local members of the State National Guard have recently re-enlisted:

— Staff Sergeant Kenneth Allen from Delmar will continue service with the 1427th Transportation Company;

— First Sergeant Jeffrey Quivey from Altamont will continue service with the 222nd Chemical Company; and

— Sergeant First Class Jason Wells from Guilderland will continue service with the Joint Force Headquarters.

    ALBANY COUNTY — Albany County is now accepting applications for grants to enhance, improve, or develop city, town, and village-owned parks, playgrounds, or recreational facilities.

    Grants are capped at $15,000 each from the $150,000 available. The deadline to apply is June 30.
