WRIGHT — Michael J. Tymchyn, who liked to paint and to build model ships, died at home on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019. He was 58.

He was born in Schenectady on Nov. 21, 1960 to the late Martin and Patricia Tymchyn. He was raised in Altamont and attended Guilderland High School.

“Mike was an avid Mets and Dallas fan,” his family wrote in a tribute. “He loved working on building model ships and painting on canvas.”

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheena Tymchyn; his son, Joshua Tymchyn; his brother, Kevin Tymchyn; his sisters, Lynda Bollock and her husband, Roger, and his twin sister Michele Seelow and her husband, Bob; many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, and cousins.

His parents died before him, as did his sister-in-law Audrey Tymchyn.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fredendall Funeral Home at 199 Main Street in Altamont.
