Berne-Knox-Westerlo boys are busy this season on the green and on the pitch. The soccer team beat Middleburgh, 2 to 1, in overtime at home on Friday afternoon, and the golf team golf team lost, 184 to 213, against Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Monday afternoon at the Sycamore Country Club.

BKW soccer players are joined this year by four players from nearby Duanesburg, which was short players to field its own team. Bulldog Jovan Afzali goes mano-a-mano against Middleburgh’s goalie, Will Bankston, in the first half in a penalty shot. Afzali squeaked it by the outstretched arm of Bankston to give the Bulldogs the lead in the first half.
