Albany County Historical Association on Friday, Sept. 7 from 5 - 7:30 pm for the First Friday special presentation of our exhibit, "Taste of Albany." Explore Albany's culinary past and present in this journey through food, from the earliest Dutch settlers to modern-day food culture. Guest Curator Sara Evenson will share the smells and tastes of the period during an interactive lecture on Friday, Sept. 7 at 6 pm. Attendees will learn how food arrived in the Albany area, what flavor profiles were common, how foods were prepared, and will have the chance to sample a variety of items while exploring the material culture of food in ACHA's latest exhibit. The presentation is free. Donations accepted. The exhibit and presentation will be held at our KING'S PLACE GALLERY, 29 NORTH SWAN STREET and will begin at 6 pm.
