Switzkill Farm presents us with a real opportunity to increase the numbers and varieties of birds in the Hilltowns and the recreational opportunities for birdwatchers.

Ten bluebird houses were put up last year and 10 more are being added. We could use additional donations of nesting boxes for owls, kestrels, and house wrens as well as more bluebird houses.

Contact me with your sightings of birds and we’ll make a list of the species in the area. An exciting possibility is chukar partridge, which have been sighted recently in the Hilltowns. My email address is .
