Middleburgh Library Notes for Friday, June 8, 2018

On June 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. join us for the Mother/Daughter Flower Fairy Tea. Victorian children believed the Fairy Realm held its annual merriment and mischief in June on Midsummer's Eve. Join us for a special celebration of the fairy magic in our first ever Mother/Daughter Flower Fairy Tea. After tea, look for signs of fairy revelry in a scavenger hunt around the lawn, play with bubbles, and have a tour of the house if you like. Fairy wings and elves, often in the guise of boys, are also welcome!

The menu includes tea and juice, assorted muffins and scones, finger sandwiches, quiche, salad, fruit fairy wands and cookies.

When you purchase tickets, please purchase only for the guests sitting at your table. There are only eight tables available for each seating. Thank you! This program is at the Dr. Best House & Medical Exhibit, 1568 Clauverwie,Middleburgh.

For the next five years, Josh, Jr. performed with his father from New York to Boston to Philadelphia. In 1949, Josh, Jr. landed his first role on Broadway, and as Josh says, "It was type casting..." he played his father's son in How Long Til Summer? with Dorothy Gish and Don Hanmer. While continuing a solo acting career, Josh went on to perform and record with his father for the next seventeen years on radio, television, Broadway, concert halls and nightclubs around the world. A $10 donation is suggested. Tickets are available at the door.
