New Scotland clerk renews state certification

NEW SCOTLAND — Last week, Diane R. Deschenes was honored by the New York State Town Clerks Association for renewing her status as a Registered Municipal Clerk.
Deschenes first earned the designation in 2008, and has continued renewing it through attending conferences and training classes ever since. Additionally, she belongs to the Albany-Schenectady Town Clerks Association where she has been treasurer for several years.

Deschenes has been serving as New Scotland’s Town Clerk since 2000.

“I’ve always liked being here and working with the residents,” she said.
