June S. Bohl
GUILDERLAND — June S. Bohl, her family said, was a cheerleader her whole life as she encouraged her family in their endeavors.
She died peacefully at her Guilderland home on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was 87.
Born in Colonie to the late Clifford and Maude Schell, she moved as child to West Berne and graduated from Schoharie High School where she was a cheerleader and a majorette.
She worked briefly in Albany as a secretary until she moved to Syracuse while her husband, Edward C. Bohl, finished college at Syracuse University. While raising their family, June and Ed Bohl worked together in all their business ventures.
“She was always always busy,” her family wrote in a tribute, also stating that one of her favorite phrases was “Oh swell.”
“She loved to travel and would travel to New Mexico to see Debbie, California to see Diane, and all over Europe to see Teri,” her family said. “She loved to watch her backyard animals, especially the deer and rabbits, naming the favorites. She was feisty and funny, thoughtful and generous.”

June S. Bohl is survived by her daughters, Diane L. Bohl of Carmel, California and Theresa J. Bohl of Saratoga Springs. She is also survived by several sisters, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
She had special pet friends, Leo and Skip.
Her husband, Edward C. Bohl, and her beloved daughter Deborah Lee Bohl died before her as did her siblings Robert Schell and his wife, Carolyn, Helen Breckenridge and her husband, John, Shirley Conley and her husband, Ken, and Grant Schell.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at the Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, Altamont. Burial at Prospect Hill Cemetery will be private.
