Mr. Forte’s allegation appears to be rubbish

To the Editor:

In addition to Facebook’s Throwback Thursday, The Altamont Enterprise also provides such a forum via its letters to the editor section also published on a Thursday to share and remind others of previous times.

I’m referring to Brian Forte’s letter last week accusing Supervisor Peter Barber of not being a full-time supervisor. However, Mr. Forte’s letter reminded me of something very different, that is, the Republicans on the Guilderland Town Board of several years ago who contributed lies, innuendo, and suspicion but little else.

Based on follow-up responses from Guilderland Town Hall officials initiated by inquiries from The Altamont Enterprise and published with the letter, Mr. Forte’s allegation would appear to be rubbish.

Aren’t such letters and public statements vetted by party leaders and the other candidates on the Republican Party ticket or are they complicit with this approach? They should not be given the opportunity to pick up where they left off.
