Call for EPA Certified Renovators to be listed in directory

ALBANY COUNTY — Cornell Cooperative Extension Albany County is compiling a list of renovators certified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

The extension “is committed to promoting EPA-certified renovators who use lead-safe work practices to reduce lead poisoning,” according to a release fro the cooperative extension.

The list will be published in a print and online directory. To be included, all qualifying renovators should complete a directory form with the cooperative extension by Monday, March 17.

There is no charge to be included. Directories will be distributed to area households, community organizations, and agencies.

EPA-certified renovators who are employed by or own an EPA-registered firm should contact Nancy Lerner by e-mail at NKL1@cornell.edu or by phone by 765-3521 to receive a copy of the required form.

Funding for this project is provided by the Albany County Department of Health, the Rensselaer County Department of Health, and the Schenectady County Public Health Services.
