Sex offender Todd Young arrested for violating probation

By Zach Simeone

WESTERLO — A Westerlo man was arrested Tuesday night for violating the terms of his probation.

Todd M. Young, 37, of 534 Route 403, was arrested on a warrant issued by Albany County Court Judge Thomas Breslin for violation of probation, stemming from his failure to maintain employment and attend sex-offender treatment, according to a press release from the Albany County Sheriff’s department.

Young is now in Albany County’s jail.

“He was arrested at about 8 p.m. without any incident,” Chief Deputy Matthew Campbell said Wednesday.

This arrest, the release said, is part of a continuing partnership between the sheriff’s department and the Albany County Probation Department, which involves home visits to active probationers throughout the county.
