Our wonderful town deserves a person of Brian Forte’s character
To the Editor:
I am writing to urge all registered voters of the Independent and Conservative parties to be sure to vote in the primary town election on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
I would also like to ask voters to write in the name of Brian Forte for town supervisor because he is perfectly suited for this position. He has already demonstrated a commitment to our community during his 25-year career as a Guilderland police officer as well as his over 30-year volunteer work as a fireman with the Guilderland Fire Department. Furthermore, he has been a longtime member of many local organizations, including the Voorheesville American Legion, the Guilderland Elks, and the Altamont Fair.
Leadership skills are extremely essential for the position of town supervisor, and Brian Forte has spent a great deal of his career as a leader: He was a Guilderland town councilman, an executive director for not-for-profit groups, chief of the Guilderland Fire Department, chairman of the Board of Fire Commissioners in the Guilderland Fire District, past president of the Guilderland Police Benevolent Association, past president of the State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Association, and supervisor of the Guilderland Police Community Services Unit.
In closing, I hope you will support this outstanding candidate for Guilderland town supervisor. Our wonderful town deserves a person of Brian Forte’s caliber working for us!
