Awards and achievements: June 8, 2017
Local students play sports at SUNY Oneonta
Two local students played on SUNY Oneonta sports teams this year:
— Emma Cremo of Delmar was a member of the women’s lacrosse team.
The team finished 9-7. Cremo was named to the SUNYAC All-Conference Second Team and she started in all 16 games. She had 28 ground balls, 10 draw controls and 17 caused turnovers; and
— Brooke Corbett of Bethlehem was a member of the softball team. The team finished 25-14. The squad qualified for the conference.
Corbett played in 31 games, starting 27, as a second baseman. She hit .364 with nine runs batted in. She scored 17 runs and was tied for the team lead in triples with two.
Honors
— Matt Pasquali of Guilderland was named to the dean’s list at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania for the Spring 2017 semester. He is studying environmental sciences.
