Douglas King Bailey

GUILDERLAND CENTER —  Douglas King Bailey, a World War II veteran who lived in Guilderland Center and worked for General Electric, died on Friday, May 19, 2017. He was 91.

“He joined his loving wife, Dorothy Moras Bailey, in eternal peace,” his family wrote in a tribute.

He served on the USS Venango during World War II. He then worked for the General Electric Company for more than 25 years.

He is survived by his stepson, Avery Ingle and his wife, Donna; his sister Janet Sherbonay and her husband, Glen; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

His stepson Ernest Ingle died before him as did two sisters, Marilyn Breslin and Kay Gerhardt, and one grandson, Mckenzie Ingle.

Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland. Services are private.
