Photos: Unified Dutch Sail Past Warriors
The Guilderland Dutch Unified basketball team took to the floor last Thursday afternoon in their first game at home against Mohonasen.

A battle from the opening tip: Guilderland’s Casey Tynan out-jumps Mohonasen’s Cole Wright as Guilderland won its first Unified game of the season, 41 to 33. Unified Sports is an inclusive program that unites Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities and partners without disabilities as teammates for training and competition.

The Guilderland defense helped the Dutch battle back from being down by as many as six points. Getting a steal, Guilderland’s Isaiah Ivy races up the court in the first half as Mohonasen’s Devin Pigliavento (21) and Cole Wright (5) try to stop Ivy. Ivy had five points for the Dutch.
