On Tuesday, April 25 at 10:45 a.m. join us for Drop-in Storytime. Get ready to move in this interactive storytime designed especially for children up to age 5 and their caregivers. We'll read books, sing songs, recite fingerplays, dance and watch a short movie based on a weekly theme. No registration required
Mahjong
On Tuesday, April 25, at 1 p.m. men and women are invited to the library for a get together in the community room to play Mahjong. Don't know how to play? They will teach you how. No problem. No registration is required.
Insight meditation
On Tuesday, April 25, at 5:15 p.m. join us for a simple group Zazen meditation practice. All are welcome. No registration is required.
Discovery Wednesdays
On Wednesday. April 26 at 11 a.m. join Miss Doreen as she welcomes children ages 3 to 6 to her storytime. Lots of fun with stories, songs, fingerplays and a craft. No registration required.
Movie
On Wednesday, April 26 at 1 p.m. join us at the library for a showing of “Hidden Figures” rated PG. Enjoy the free popcorn.
Knitting Circle
On Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m. the friendly ladies (men are welcome, but we haven't seen any yet!) knit and crochet, embroider and quilt, and more. You can learn a new skill here or share your own special talents with others - or just craft in the company of friends. Drop in anytime. No registration required.
Concert
On Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m. join us for singer/songwriter Gail Sparlin performing songs inspired by Kurt Vonnegut.
A northern Minnesota native and a music educator, Gail performs in the capital district of upstate New York. “So It Goes,” a song cycle based on the writings of Kurt Vonnegut staged last fall for the Albany Public Library’s Reading Music Series, and performing as a finalist in this year’s songwriter competition at Solarfest. Refreshments will be provided. Registration is suggested. This event is free and open to the public.
