PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Rensselaerville is seeking a contractor for the following: Purchase and installation of a standby generator for the Town of Rensselaerville Town Hall.
Plans and specifications for the proposed work (Central Hudson Job No. 148136) will be on file and publicly exhibited as of March 16, 2017, at the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY 12120. Copies of said plans and specifications can be obtained from the Town Clerk’s Office, 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY 12120.
A mandatory pre-bid inspection will be held on March 23, 2017 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Town Hall. Bid packages will be available at the pre-bid inspection.
Bids must be submitted in a Sealed Envelope that is clearly marked with the bidder name and place of business. Faxed or electronically transmitted bids will NOT be accepted.
Bids are to be in the Town Clerk’s Office by April 11, 2017 at 6:45 PM. They will then be opened and read aloud at 7:30 PM. Bids will be awarded at the Regular Meeting on
April 13, 2017.

The following resolution was offered by Supervisor Peter Barber, who moved for its adoption, and seconded by Councilman Lee Carman, to wit:
IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF EXTENSION NO. 84 TO THE GUILDERLAND WATER DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF GUILDERLAND, COUNTY OF ALBANY, STATE OF NEW YORK PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 12-A OF THE TOWN LAW OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK
WHEREAS, a motion for the creation of Extension No. 84 to the Guilderland Water District in the Town of Guilderland, Albany County, New York, with the necessary map and plan attached to it was made by this Town Board; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid map, plan and estimate of cost was prepared by Delaware Engineering, D.P.C., a competent engineer duly licensed by the State of New York, in relation to the proposed establishment of Guilderland Water District Extension No. 84, Town of Guilderland; and
WHEREAS, the maximum amount proposed to be expended as stated in the engineer’s report is One million six hundred twenty- three thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($1,623,000.00); and
WHEREAS, a resolution was duly adopted by this Board on the 7th day of February, 2017 calling a public hearing on said water district extension No. 84, map, plan and estimate of cost to be held at the Town Hall, McCormack’s Corners, Guilderland, New York on the 7th day of March, 2017 at 7:00 o’clock Local Time; and
WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was duly published and posted in the manner and within the time provided by the Town Law; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing was duly held at the time and place aforesaid at which time all persons interested in the subject matter thereof were duly heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND DETERMINED, by the Town Board of Guilderland, Albany County, New York as follows:
Section 1. (a) That the motion as presented by the Town Board of the Town of Guilderland was offered and seconded as required by law and complies with the requirements of the Town Law;
(b) That the notice of hearing was published and posted as required by law; and is otherwise sufficient;
(c) That all property and property owners within the proposed Extension are benefitted hereby;
(d) That all property and property owners benefitted are included within the limits
of the proposed Extension.
(e) That it is in the public interest to establish the proposed Extension;
(f) That the first year cost of full operation and debt payment, if any, for a typical one family or two family home is less than Nine Hundred and Sixty-six ($966.00) Dollars per home per year, including hook up fees to the resident property line.
Section 2. That the establishment of Extension No. 84, as set forth in the aforesaid Petition, map, plan and report, be approved and that the approval of the Comptroller of the State of New York is not required and that the requested improvement be constructed and the necessary easements and lands be acquired upon the required funds being made available and provided for, and such Extension shall be known and designated as Extension 84 to Guilderland in the Town of Guilderland, and shall be bounded and described on Schedule A annexed hereto:
Section 3. Delaware Engineering, D.P.C. is hereby authorized and directed to prepare definite plans and specifications and to make a careful estimate of the expense for said improvement, and with the assistance of the Town Attorney, to prepare a proposed contract for execution of the work.
Section 4. All costs of said improvement shall be paid as follows: The expense of the construction of the Extension and any district charges shall be assessed, levied and collected from the several lots and parcels ofland within the Extension and the Water District as set forth in Section 202 of the Town Law. Expenses of maintenance of the Extension shall be paid by sums collected pursuant to Section 202a of the Town Law.
Section 5. This approval shall not permit the construction of any improvements upon the said site except the water mains approved hereunder, and unless and until any requisite pennits required by the laws ofthe State ofNew York, County of Albany and Town of Guilderland shall have been obtained.
Section 6. That the Town Clerk of the Town of Guilderland shall within ten (10) days after the adoption of this resolution file a certified copy thereof with the County Clerk of the County of Albany and the New York State Department of Audit and Control.
Section 7. That the Supervisor shall file a copy of this resolution with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the New York State Department of Health, and such other supporting documents shall be necessary to complete application for the issuance of a Water Supply Permit for the said Extension No. 84.
Section 8. This resolution shall take effect subject to a permissive referendum within thirty days as set forth in Article 7 of the Town Law. The question of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly put to vote on roll call, which resulted as follows:
