RAD Training for Women

Date:
Tuesday, April 25, 2017 (All day)
Location:
Guilderland Public Library

April 25 @ 5:30-9:30pm

This is a three-session program. You must sign up and attend all three sessions; the first is on Tuesday, April 25, then Wednesday, April 26, and finally Tuesday, May 2.  Officers from the Guilderland Police Department will be at GPL for this Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) program for women. The RAD course is a total of 12 hours long and is divided into 3 four-hour sessions. It begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. It is not your typical self-defense course, where the student learns how to punch or kick through repetition; rather, it is designed for the student to survive attacks.

This program is for women 18 years of age and older. No experience is necessary. Please register at 456-2400 ext 2.
