Learn about the Mediterranean diet and why it is healthy for our hearts. Karen Roberts Mort – Community Nutrition Educator from Cornell Cooperative Extension – will discuss the benefits of making some simple changes in our food choices, cooking techniques, and lifestyle to possibly help us live longer, healthier lives. Karen Roberts Mort is a Community Nutrition Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension – Albany County. Previously, she worked as a Nutritionist for WIC for 5 years in Columbia and Green Counties. She also served as an Eat Smart New York Community Nutrition Educator at CCE - Columbia County for over 13 years.
