NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2017 Organizational Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Knox Fire District will take place at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. The meeting will be held at the Knox Fire Station located at 2198 Rt. 156, Knox, New York.

This meeting will be followed by the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners.

The public is invited to attend.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Berne invites sealed bids for security cameras at the Berne Town Hall, Highway Garage & Pole Barn, Sewer Plant and Transfer Station.

Bids shall be received until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at which time said bids will be opened and read at the Town Hall, Berne, New York. Please contact the Town Clerk for specifications, 518-872- 1448 ext. 101 or .

Bids shall be in sealed envelopes which shall bear the face thereof, the name and address of the bidder and the subject of the bid. In cases where two or more bidders submit identical bids as to price, the Town Board may award the contract to either of such bidders. Such bids shall have attached a non-collusive bidding certificate and should be submitted to the Town Clerk, P.O. Box 57, Berne, NY 12023.

The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to split the award of said bids and to purchase said materials through New York State or Albany County Contract in the event that the Town is able to purchase through New York State or Albany County Contract for a price or sum more favorable to the Town at any time during 2017.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to resolution of the Town Board, Town of New Scotland, Albany County, New York sealed bids for the purchase of a new Medium Duty Cab and Chassis will be received at the office of the Town Clerk at Town Hall, Town of New Scotland, County of Albany, 2029 New Scotland Road, Slingerlands, N.Y. 12159, until 10:00 A.M. on the 25th day of January, 2017 at which time they will be opened and read aloud. Bids will be submitted in duplicate in sealed envelopes which shall bear on the face thereof the name and address of the bidder and title, “Bid for Medium Duty Cab and Chassis”. Detailed specifications and bid forms are available to any interested bidder at the office of the Highway Superintendent located at 2869 New Scotland Road, Voorheesville, NY or Town Hall located at 2029 New Scotland Road, Slingerlands, NY. The contract for the purchase of the above item will be awarded by the Town Board to the lowest responsible bidder. In case where two or more responsible bidders submit identical bids as to price, the Town Board may reject any or all bids at its discretion.

The Town Board reserves the right to wave any informality in or to reject any or all bids.

COLLECTOR’S NOTICE TOWN OF GUILDERLAND

The taxable inhabitants of the Town of Guilderland, TAKE NOTICE: I, the undersigned Receiver of Taxes and Assessments of the Town of Guilderland, County of Albany and State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Guilderland for the year 2017 and have fixed the following dates for receiving taxes: Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except holidays); and Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during January only at the Town Hall, Route 20, Guilderland, New York.

There is no fee through January 31, 2017. 1% fee through February 1, 2017 and 2% fee through March 31, 2017. The tax roll and all unpaid taxes of the Town of Guilderland will be returned to the County Treasurer of the County of Albany on April 1, 2017; thereafter the additional fee will be 5% PLUS INTEREST.
