Playing with high intensity for the entire game, the Storm — made up of players from five schools: Guilderland, Mohonasen, Scotia-Glenville, Voorheesville, and Schalmont — beat the Queensbury Spartans, 3 to 2, Friday night before Christmas break.

Coming up huge all game: Storm goalie Daniel Cooper of Mohonasen, right, lays his stick along the ice as teammate Noah Carey from Guilderland battles a Spartan in the third period. Cooper had 41 saves on 43 shots. The Storm also has a female goalie, from Voorheesville, Jennifer Gregg, but she was sidelined with an injury.
