CLARKSVILLE.

The first grand ball given by the three bachelor girls of Clarksville will be given in Joslin’s hall Dec. 29. Good music will be in attendance. Refreshments will be served. All are invited.

GUILDERLAND.

At the Suffrage club meeting held last week at the home of Mrs. Jesse Wood, two new members joined. The next meeting will be held the first week in January with Mrs. Eberts. Notice of the day will be given next week.

NEW SALEM.

Floyd McMillen is building a large dam on his farm. As soon as ice forms he will be ready to take contract for filling ice houses, as it is being built for that purpose.

WEST BERNE.

The hours of telephone service on Christmas and New Year’s days are the same as the regular Sunday hours.

Mr. and Mrs. Irving Lainhart attended the concert given by Sousa’s band at Albany, Tuesday evening.

$100.00 REWARD

A reward of $100.00 has been offered for information leading to the whereabouts and recovery of Mrs. Susan McMullen Fite of 27 High street, Albany, who disappeared from home on the morning of Nov. 28, 1916.

Mrs. Fite has not been well for some time and it is believed that she wandered into the country and lost her way. Will you kindly search in your immediate vicinity?

The description of the missing woman is as follows: Five feet six inches tall, wavy medium brown hair, brown eyes; she wore a small black velvet hat, black silk waist, black serge skirt, loose black coat, a dark brown fur neck piece and black lace shoes.
