These local students were named to the Spring 2019 semester President's List at the State University of New York at Potsdan, comprised of students with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

— Joseph Drake of Delmar, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations;

— Samantha Pasquini of Guilderland, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology;

This local students were named to the spring 2019 President's List at Western New England University, Springfield, MA, comprised with a grade-point average of 3.8 or higher:

 

— John Bonanno of Slingerlands, majoring Pre-Pharmacy degree;

B’nai Sholom Reform Congregation in Albany presents a screening of “A Tale of Love and Darkness,” a film by Natalie Portman based on the international bestseller by Israeli author Amos Oz of growing up in Jerusalem in the years before Israeli statehood. He had an academic father and a dreamy, imaginative mother.

Community Caregivers, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enabling individuals of all ages to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life within their homes and communities, will hold its Silver Anniversary Gala on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Albany Country Club at 300 Wormer Road.

Trunk or Treat event at the Albany County Sheriff's station in Clarksville on Oct. 23.
