GUILDERLAND — The mood was celebratory and the votes were unanimous on New Year’s Day at Guilderland’s annual reorganizational meeting.

“It was very nice to see unanimous votes today,” said Councilman Brian Forte towards the close of the meeting, alluding to the fact that the five-member board was all-Democratic.

GUILDERLAND — Several neighborhoods in town rallied this year to protect their quality of life.

GUILDERLAND — Joshua A. Mortimore was arrested at his home in Guilderland on Dec. 15 for felony assault charges, as well as several misdemeanors.

“I really disagree with this whole concept,” said board member Denise Eisele at last week’s meeting.

Library is read to expand

GUILDERLAND — Trustees of the Guilderland Public Library are unanimous in wanting to bring their $11.8 million expansion plan to public vote in 2012.
