GUILDERLAND — Mike Lainhart was worn out. He didn’t want to wrestle anymore, but said that his best friend bribed him into coming back.

This friend, Josh LoGiudice, said that it wasn’t a bribe, but it was a persuasion.

In a record five ovetimes, the Guilderland boys bested Columbia on Wednesday, 102 to 100, testing the stamina of the players, coaches, and crowd.

GUILDERLAND — The school board at its February meeting adopted a tax break for veterans, heard about progress on a $17 million building project, and gave budget preferences as a prelude to the superintendent’s presentation of her 2014-15 proposal tonight.

On subsequent Wednesdays during Lent, Stations of the Cross will be held at the church at 7 p.m.

Last Friday evening, the Guilderland Lady Dutch basketball team ended its season with a loss to Shaker in an exhilarating a game that wasn’t decided until the last few minutes of play. The real thrill to me, however, is that this was a milestone many did not think could be achieved just a few short years ago.

We expect total love, commitment, interest, loyalty, fidelity, and sexual attractiveness. And what do we get? A 50-percent divorce rate (90-percent in teenage marriages).
