ALTAMONT — After months of packed village meetings as Stewart’s proposed an expansion that would have required a zoning change, its bid failed Tuesday night with a tied village board vote, 2 to 2.

A zoning change requires a majority vote.

GUILDERLAND — After a trial, a Slingerlands man, who burned a female victim’s lingerie, was found guilty of arson on Sept. 28 in Albany County Court in front of Judge Peter Lynch, according to the district attorney’s office.

Officers located Basile near the reported scene and he was taken into custody.

“We are aware that the residents pay our salaries,” Cataldo said. “We want to take care of them.”

Dougherty’s hope is that the exhibition will “encourage people to investigate further all the astonishing windows in our three churches, as well as the legacy of remembrance they represent for each donor.”
