Hiawatha Trails Golf Course

The town has acquired a parcel behind the library that would allow it to continue the multi-use path to be built by the developer of the Hiawatha Trails project, extending the path as far as the library.

ALTAMONT — Nancy J. Lown, known as “Nan,” died on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family; her caregivers; and her dogs, Bear and Lady. She was 87.

She was born in Albany, the daughter of the late William H. McCann and Mary E. McCann. Her loving husband of 63 years, Victor, died in June 2018.
