Indian Ladder Farms in New Scotland was honored on Wednesday with a New York State Senate Empire Award “for its outstanding contribution to the local agritourism industry and service to Albany County,” according to State Senator Michelle Hinchey, center, who presented the award to Peter Ten Eyck II, left, and his daughter, Laura Ten Eyck, holding the plaque. Peter Ten Eyck’s father ran the farm as a dairy over a century ago. ILF now has apple orchards, berry fields, and hops with a booming cidery and craft-brewed beer business that attracts visitors from across the region.
