Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs boys took to the lanes and the court on Friday afternoon in critical Western Athletic Conference games early in the season. The basketball team played Middleburgh in a packed gym at home and battled in the second half to hold onto a 63-to-58 win. The bowling team has just one member with two years’ experience and the rest are newer bowlers. The Bulldogs played Fonda-Fultonville at Kelly’s Imperial Bowling Alley in Amsterdam and lost, 4 to 0, and 2,659 to 1,383 in total pins.
