Photos: Inaugural Meet
For the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs, Saturday was a first. The school had never before fielded an indoor track team and this was the team’s first meet. With a handful of athletes, the boys’ and girls’ teams both participated at the University of Albany for the Tri-County Indoor Track League Meet 2F. The boys were last with one point and the girls’ team finished sixth with 23 points.

Putting his best foot forward, Bulldogs’ Sean Motschmann leaps from the block on his second jump in the triple jump. Motschmann leapt 27 feet, 10.25 inches and finished in eighth place. He also competed in the long jump, finishing 13th place with a distance of 13 feet, 5 inches.

Stop and go: BKW’s Kara Sherwin, right, hands the baton to teammate Michelle Puzulis in the 200-meter relay. The four-member relay team finished second with a time of 2:03.7, and Sherwin won the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.5 seconds.
