Happy to see a parade: A boy waves to the trucks and floats on Sunday evening in East Berne during the Peter Becker Christmas Parade. The parade was named in honor of the late Peter Becker, a former fire chief, who died last year in a Berne Highway Department accident.

Holiday cheer: Santa and Mrs. Claus share the Berne Library float with two Christmas trees, two elves, reindeer gifts, and gingerbread people advising gratitude, peace, and acceptance.

It’s the Clauses! Santa and Mrs. Claus ride atop “Big Red” — a truck decorated with reindeer antlers — as they wave to kids and parents on Route 443, heading towards the Berne firehouse on Sunday evening.
