On November 12, Chi Walthery’s art class at St. John's Lutheran Church in Altamont entered the Halloween Envelope Art contest put on by The Edward Gorey House. One student won an Honorable Mentioned and Walthery held a party.

Parents and grandparents of the students of Chi Walthery’s art class look at copies of the envelope artwork the kids mailed to The Edward Gorey House on Cape Cod. Walthery, who has her students try the styles of various artists, said they were excited about the sometimes ghoulish Victorian-inspired art Gorey created.
