Photos: 285 Runners Tackle The Streets In Upstate Classic
On Sunday, Nov. 19, 285 runners took part in a half marathon, 13.1 miles, that started at the Altamont Fairgrounds in Altamont. Morgan Stippa from Coxsackie took the top spot with a time of 1:21:27.

Quick start: Bryant Farley of Syracuse (85) comes down the straightaway in front of Jackson Cowin of Delmar (61) and Kae Ravichandran of Winooski, Vermont (213) at the start of the half marathon. Farley finished fifth with a time of 1:25:08, Cowin finished second with a time of 1:22:04, and Ravichandran finished fourth with a time of 1:24:31.

Staying warm: Amanda Aussems of Slingerlands is decked out in warm clothing during the cold and windy half marathon race on Sunday morning. Aussems finished 10th with a time of 1:30:39.

Determined running: Nathan Bushee of Hoosick Falls stares down the route as he runs along the pavement in the Altamont Fairgrounds. Bushee finished 71st with a time of 1:49:48.

Peace out: Paul Cuddihy gives the peace sign as he runs past the camera during the start of the half marathon. Cuddihy finished in 68th with a time of 1:49:06.

Making faces: Alika Rohan shows the peace sign and sticks her tongue out while running next to Jared Lozier of Mechanicville at the start of the race. Lozier finished 81st with a time of 1:51:53 and Rohan didn’t have a recorded time.

Chatting while running: Sisters Alexi and Alyssa Glaser of Clifton Park talk to one another while they compete at the start of the Upstate Classic Half Marathon. Alexi finished 156th with a time of 2:08:07 and Alyssa 157th with a time of 2:08:09.
