Hustle: Teddy Brewster, played by Cody Weimer, is hustled on his way by Aunt Abby, played by Emma Mattoon, because he has said too much about the Panama Canal, which he is digging in the basement for reasons that will soon become clear (and surprising). Tickets for the Guilderland Players’ fall play, “Arsenic and Old Lace” written by Joseph Kesselring, are $5 and are available at the door. The play is directed by high school teacher Andy Maycock, with Johnna Kollar as student director.

Kiss: At a dress rehearsal on Nov. 5 for the fall play “Arsenic and Old Lace” at Guilderland High School, Mortimer, played by Reed Gordon, gets just the right reaction from his marriage proposal to Elaine, played by Shannon Deyoe, although their wedding plans will soon need to take a back seat to his gruesome discovery about his aunts. Reed Gordon plays the part that Cary Grant made famous in the Frank Capra film. The play runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Nov. 7, 8, and 9 at 7 p.m.
