Capital Region BOCES juniors Asa Guntert of Guilderland along with Nate Martindale and Kyle Morrey of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake test the effects of heat on various metals as part of the Automotive Trades Technology program. Teacher Brian Conway said students explored how quenching, annealing, and tempering changes its physical properties by conducting a strength test after each treatment.
