The New York Best Bagger Competition was held at the Slingerlands ShopRite on Saturday, which brought in cashiers from around the state to show off their bagging skills to win a trip to Nationals in San Diego in February.

Bringing the noise: Supporters of Erin Pierce cheer her on along with other competitors during one of the four heats in the first round of the New York Best Bagger Competition. Each competitor was being timed and sacks weighed to see who will be moving onto the national competition. Pierce, from the Canton Price Chopper, came in first and will go on to compete in February at the National Best Bagger Championship in San Diego.
