Photos: BKW-Middleburgh Cross-Country Competes Hard at the WAC Championships

On Saturday morning the BKW-Middleburgh team competed in the WAC championships at Fort Plain. The boys’ team finished fourth overall with 122 points and girls’ team finished third overall with 68 points

And they’re off! BKW-Middleburgh runners Aiden Martin, Tim Jackson, and Matt DeMarco sprint from the starting line on Saturday morning at Fort Plain at the Western Athletic Conference championships. The team participated in the second of three waves due to COVID-19 guidelines. The BKW boys finished fourth overall with 122 points. Jackson finished 18th, the top BKW-Middleburg runner, with a time of 19:49.46; Martin finished 32nd with a time of 20:53.21, and Matt DeMarco finished 46th with a time of 22:33.30.

Top runner: BKW’s-Middleburgh’s Michelle Puzulis won the second wave on Saturday morning at Fort Plain and helped the girls’ team finished third overall with 68 points. Puzulis finished fourth overall with a time of 21:04.70.
