“An iconic recreational spot in the village” is how Voorheesville’s mayor, Robert Conway, center, described Tork Hill, which the village took ownership of this month. Tuesday morning, the members of the village board, from left — Richard Straut, Richard Berger, Conway, Sarita Winchell, and Jack Stevens — gathered at the top of the hill, with the colorful Helderbergs as a backdrop to cut a ribbon. Since the favorite winter activity at Tork Hill is sledding, the board members then posed with sleds.
