Photos: Voorheesville Volleyball is Victorious

On to the championship game: The girls on Voorheesville’s varsity volleyball team opened up to defend last year’s Section 2, Class C title. On Friday at home, the Blackbirds, the number-one seed, beat Canajoharie-Fort Plain, three sets to one: 25-21, 25-21, 17-25, 25-11. Then on Tuesday, Voorheesville beat Catskill in the semis — 25-12, 19-25, 25-14, 25-15 — to advance to Saturday’s Championship at Saratoga High School at 5 p.m.
