On Oct. 13, Bette & Cring workers installed this interim steel truss rail-trail bridge above New Scotland Road in Slingerlands. Starting on Oct. 31, alternating one-way traffic will be in effect on Route 85 between Kenwood Avenue and Mullens Road as new sidewalk railing is installed underneath the bridge. The traffic pattern will be in place daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 3. Flaggers will be stationed to guide motorists through the area. Due to weather delays, paving of the bridge is now scheduled to take place on Nov. 6, and the bridge is now expected to be reopened to pedestrians on Nov. 7.
