Photos this week: Oct. 27, 2016

A collection of photos from readers and staff this past week covers the bright glimmers of the fall season, a Voorheesville soccer moment of glee, a five generation family, and more.

Five generations: A recent Westerlo family gathering brought together the newest member of the family — baby Journey Mailly, born Oct. 6, front and center — with the oldest member of the family, Iona McDade, front left, who will turn 93 on Nov. 10. Journey’s parents are Julia and Nathan Mailly of East Greenbush. Standing behind them are, from left: James and Bonnie Hassett and Laurie and Russ Hilton — all of Westerlo.

Painted pumpkins: Sophia Melanson, 2, right, ponders the blank canvas of her pumpkin as her twin sister, Aubrey, 2, with the look of determination, paints hers. Crafts for kids were part of Altamont’s inaugural fall festival on Saturday. The event was planned by the village’s newest trustee, Madeline LaMountain.
