Contemplating a slide: As Guilderland town officials gathered at Abele Park in McKownville on Friday with Assemblywoman Patricia Fahy, who secured money to upgrade the park, kids enjoyed the new playground equipment. Up to $110,000 of a $250,000 grant was used to upgrade the park while $90,000 was used for two lifts for the town’s ambulances and $50,000 was to improve the historic Mynderse-Frederick House in Guilderland Center with a new roof, new windows, and exterior painting, according to Fahy’s office.
