Petal It Forward: Jackie Jack, right, who owns A Touch of Country in Hamilton Square with her sister, Susan Irwin, gives two of her 100 bouquets to Mark Audino at the New Karner Road Post Office on Wednesday as part of a national “Petal It Forward” event. Each of the surprised 50 recipients in Guilderland, Altamont, and Voorheesville was to keep one bouquet and pass the other one on to someone else. “The idea,” Irwin said, “is just to make someone’s day, and then, when they think about flowers again, they’ll come to my shop and buy flowers.”
