On Wednesday morning, Albany County Executive Dan McCoy held a press conference at the Helderberg Rail Trail in Voorheesville at the beginning of the trail, corner of Grove and South Main Street.

“It’s about connectivity” said Senator George Amedore of how the rail trail, which starts in Voorheesville, will bring communities together in Guilderland, New Scotland, and Albany. The trail was officially opened during a ribbon-cutting event at the corner of South Main and Grove Streets in Voorheesville on Wednesday morning.
