The second meet in the inaugural season of the Duanesburg/Berne-Knox-Westerlo girls’ swim team ended with victory. The team is made up of 12 girls from Duanesburg Central and Berne-Knox-Westerlo. On Tuesday afternoon, the team got its first win, at the Duanesburg YMCA in Delanson, against Academy of the Holy Names. Duanesburg/BKW won, 102-68.

Swimming hard: Duanesburg/Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s Bethany Short looks determined as she competes in the 100-yard butterfly event in Tuesday afternoon’s swim match against Academy of the Holy Names at the Duanesburg YMCA in Delanson. Short finished fifth with a time of 1:30.50.

Taking a breath of air, Duanesburg/BKW’s Julia Sherwin competes in the 100-yard freestyle race. Sherwin finished fifth with a time of 1:20.87.
