Photos: Dogs Outrun Their People

On Sunday Sept. 18th, the Village Animal Clinic in Voorheesville hosted a 5K race to raise money to benefit the Guilderhaven Inc.

Finishing first: This little pooch crosses the finish line with its tongue out as it runs with its owner, Eric Morse, who finished with a time of 18:18 during the first Canine Classic 5K in Voorheesville last Sunday at the Village Animal Clinic.

The top three finishers, Morse of Berlin, Chris Palmer of Middleburgh, center, and Bell Gulick of Schenectady run together at the start of the race. Morse and Palmer ran with their four-legged partners.

It was all about the canines to raise money for Guilderhaven Inc., a not-for-profit that offers low-cost spaying and neutering, food, and medical intervention for forgotten animals.
