“It was barely a bump,” said Marie Wiles, Superintendent of Guilderland schools, of a slight collision in stop-and-go traffic at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on Western Avenue near the old Chico’s BBQ. The two vehicles are shown here, pulled off the road. None of the children in the bus, which was headed for Farnsworth Middle School, were hurt, she said. “Cars started to inch forward when the light changed; the car ahead stopped and we just barely touched,” Wiles said. She said on Tuesday afternoon that she had not yet received that bus driver’s record directly, but that “all of our drivers have excellent records.”
